That Time We Did a Pop-Up: Fresh AF Vol. 1
Laundry Bar is a late-night Fitzroy staple, serving up weekly hip hop, rap and R&B to the sweaty dancing masses. Back when Melbourne’s temperatures were hospitable (was it only a month ago?), Laundry hosted the first FRESH AF Pop-Up market, touting goods by Burn City’s finest independent labels and makers with a bangin’ soundtrack. And boy, was it a time.
Babes and bros alike converged to browse for new belongings over bevs and beats. Our DIY table-thing made its debut and managed to keep our stuff off the floor, so - success! JFO's pins shared the stage with socks by Unempire, a slew of apparel by Mama Millions, Hoop x Harmand Save Yourself (to name a few), and a DJ set by Laundry favourite Soju Gang. As per the venue’s maxim, we kept it classy (and sassy).
If you’re experiencing major FOMO (duh you are), don’t fret: volume 2 is around the corner. Next Saturday 15 July you can join the crème de la crème of Melbourne’s streetwear scene for a boogie, banter and some brews. The lineup is yet to drop, but one thing’s for sure - dis gon’ be good. Don’t miss it.
